D.C. voting-rights bill clears Homeland Security committee

June 14, 2007

If this measure passes, she could vote…and so could somebody else in Utah. Photo courtesy of Eleanor Holmes Norton’s official page.

Committee members agree
There’s something amiss with D.C.
When last t’was taxation
Sans representation
We found ourselves swimming in tea

When there’s a will, there’s a way
As proved by events yesterday
They took the first step
Towards a full voting Rep.
Now the Senate will say yea or nay

    Attention Trevor’s limmericky friend:

This is great. All of your limmericks are fun, but I like this one mucho because I work for the people who are passing this bill. Thanks for the poetically whimsical coverage!

Stephen Colbert should have this. He’s had her on The Colbert Report at least twice.
